I’m responsible for overseeing the room revenue for the hotels, ensuring that we achieve our revenue budgets and sales goals, by forecasting accurately, managing our daily selling rates for both rooms and conference, converting and managing large groups and events and coming up with new initiatives to drive sales to the hotels. I am very passionate about my role.

I also produce weekly and monthly forecast and yield reports for my General Manager and Head Office. In addition, I’m also committed to the training and development of my colleagues.

I began my career at Jurys Inn Nottingham in 2006, as a Conference & Banqueting Agent. I really enjoyed my role, but I was keen to impress and work my way up the ranks. Within six months I was promoted to Revenue Supervisor and this is where my career really took off.

I learned many skills from my Revenue Manager and she was very eager to teach me all she knew so I could progress. Within a year she had been promoted to another role and I was promoted to Revenue Manager. A year later I was promoted again, this time to Cluster Revenue Manager overseeing multiple properties.

I have progressed very quickly with Jurys, and this was down to my dedication and enthusiasm for my role and my passion for hotels. Jurys Inn is a great company to work for. I really enjoy my working day and the interaction I have with my colleagues, General Manager and our guests. The staff at the hotels are very hardworking. We regularly organise activity days to build our communication within the different departments.

Jurys Inn is good to work for if you enjoy fast-paced environments where one day is never the same as the next. There are so many different avenues and areas you can work in and learn from, and all it takes is dedication, passion and determination.
