Belfast Fringe Festival 2010 will take place in late October, running from Friday, October 22 through Sunday, October 24 in the city of Belfast, Northern Ireland's largest city. The 2010 Fringe Festival will have the added bonus of occuring during the middle of the Belfast Festival at Queen's, a popular annual arts festival beloved by many throughout Ireland.

The Belfast Fringe Festival 2010 is essentially a mini festival, or side bar, to the larger Queen's festival. Local artists and performers are encouraged to use the Fringe Festival as an opportunity to showcase their talents. Any musicians, singers, performing artists, comedians, poets, dancers or even circus performers are encouraged to participate. The best part about the Fringe Festival is that it's open and accessible to all, regardless of your artistic vetting. The Belfast Fringe Festival is held in collaboration with the Fringe Benefits Theatre Company, a community-based theatre company based out of Northern Ireland. It is a semi-professional organization run by both professional and semi-professional actors, directors and writers. Many members have gone on to have successful careers in the performing arts field. The group is also now open to anyone over the age of 18. Including technical staff, the current membership stands at around 30 members.

The Belfast Fringe Festival will be held in the Belfast neighborhood commonly known as Queen's Quarter, or University Quarter to some because it is so near the Queen's University of Belfast, the largest university in Northern Ireland. This particular area of the city is known for its cultural flair. Queen's Quarter is also home to the Queen's Film Theatre, Lyric Players' Theatre, Crescent Arts Centre and the Naughton Gallery. If you want to experience a truly international arts extravaganza, don't miss the Belfast Fringe Festival. If you go, here's what you need to know:
