Leading hotel group, Jurys Inns, has teamed up with the Swindon Jobcentre Plus to launch a recruitment drive for their Swindon hotel. Together, they are targeting local people for a variety of newly created job roles at the Jurys Inns Swindon hotel, which opens on Friday 29th May 2009. The 229-room room hotel will be located on Fleming Way, Swindon. Jurys Inns’ strategic development partner, McAleer and Rushe, have invested £20 million in the Swindon launch, with Jurys Inns creating between 60-80 local jobs through the new opening.
After running a publicity campaign, which received interest from hundreds of people living in and around the area, the first stage of the shortlist process took place last Saturday, with more than 250 people attending an open day at the Swindon Jobcentre Plus. At the open day, attendees were given a one-hour information session, followed by one-to-one interviews held by Jurys Inns staff. The next stage of the process involves a second round of interviews, where it’s hoped the majority of vacancies can be filled with local personnel.
